Yesterday Russian Enegry Ministry and Armenian Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources signed the protocol to amend the agreement on the rule of formation of price for natural gas deliveries to Armenian Republic. The document reduces the basic price for Russian gas delivered to Armenia from $189 to $165 per 1000 cub.m, reported the Russian Energy Ministry.
The document also fixes the basic conditions for normal operation of Gasprom Armenia closed-type joint stock company (JSC).
According to the protocol, the sides will sign the addendum to the agreement, which will contain description and rule of application of the model of calculation of money payments of the main ativities of Gasprom Armenia in the electricity and gas supply fields.
Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said that at present Russia is the main supplier of oil products to Armenia. This year about 70,000 tons of oil products were delivered tax free.Tax free deliveries of natural gas to Armenia totaled over 1 billion cub.m.
During six months in 2015 Gasprom delivered 886 million cub.m. of gas to Armenia.
Gasprom Armenia is a daughter company of Gasprom. The company is in charge of natural gas deliveries to the local market of the country as well as transportation, storage, distribution and sale of natural gas, reconstruction and expansion of gas transportation system and underground gas storages in the republic.
