From January to September 2014 Georgia has imported from Azerbaijan 958,032 tons of natural gas in the oil equivalent to the amount of $198.99 million, reads the report released by the Georgian National Statistical Service.
Azerbaijan is the main supplier of this type of fuel to Georgia with the specific weight of 83.5% of total volume of import of the country in this category. According to the report, since early year Georgia has imported natural gas to the amount of $238.28 million.
The remaining part of the gas deliveries fell to Russia and other sources.
Export of natural gas from Azerbaijan to Georgia increased by 18.81% during a year (by 130,085 tons in oil equivalent or by 15.8%).
From January to September last year Georgia imported from Azerbaijan 827,048 tons of oil in oil equivalent to the amount of $167.49 million.
During this period specific weight of gas in total volume of Georgia’s import from Azerbaijan constitute 43.9%.
From January to September 2014 Georgia imported products to the amount of $453.39 million from Azerbaijan.
