A fire occurred at Kazakhstan’s Pavlodar refinery on Oct.25 at 06:40 (UTC/GMT +6 hours), KazMunaiGas – Processing and Marketing JSC said.
“Fire hit a process furnace for heating raw materials for catalytic cracking at the Pavlodar refinery,” the company said.
According to the company’s message, the fire was localized and extinguished. There were no reports on possible damage or casualties. The remaining facilities of the plant continue to operate in a normal mode.
The situation at the refinery is currently under control, the company said.
A commission will assess the consequences of the incident, their impact on the volume of production and define the necessary steps for restoration.
KazMunaiGas – Processing and Marketing JSC is a 100 percent subsidiary of KazMunaiGas JSC National Company. It’s main areas of activity are management of refining assets, exports of oil and petroleum products, the development of retail sales of petroleum products.
