On September 3-4, 2014 Turkmenistan will hold the international conference in Ashgabad devoted to the role of transport and transit corridors in the international cooperation and stable development. The decree was signed by Turkmenistan President Gurbangulu Berdymohammadov at the session of the Turkmenistan government.
The document orders the Turkmenistan Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Automobile Transport to hold the conference jointly with the UN European Economic Commission, UN Economic and Social Commission for Asian and Pacific Region, OSCE, International Road Transport Union (IRU) and the intergovernmental commission on the Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA).
The goal of the conference is to implement important foreign political initiatives of Turkmenistan aimed at safeguarding global peace and stable development forwarded at the 66th session of the UN General Assembly.
