Development of Absheron gas condensate field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea will begin in 2021, reads the interview by Azerbaijani Energy Minister Natig Aliyev published in the official press.
The discovery of a big gas field Absheron was announced in September 2011on the basis of results of drilling of the exploration well.
The potential resources of the field total 350 billion cub.m. of gas and 45 million tons of condensate. The Absheron project’s partners include SOCAR with 40%, French Total – 40% and French Gaz De France Suez – 20%.
