Geophysics and Geology Department of SOCAR has completed seismic prospecting works on Gadisu-Stalchay site in Guba-Caspian oil and gas region.
SOCAR press office reported that 2D seismic, gravimetrical and magnetometric works have been carried out on the site.
The data acquired during the 2D seismic works are being processed and interpreted. The works have been done to specify geological structure, distribution of hydrocarbons on the studied area and study the availability of the oil-gas bearing zone, the company said.
‘The new data will create conditions for proper orientation during the prospect drilling,” said the same source.
