During his meeting with journalists after the New Year (new 1393 year started in Iran on March 21) Iranian Minister of Economy and Finance said that according to the decision made by the government, the prices for energy carriers will gradually go up and the law on budget for fiscal year 1393 allows the government receiving additional income of up to 20 trillion tuman (about $8 billion) at the expense of price increase.
Minister said that the decision has been made, because of a high inflation rate, which leads to stagnation in economy. Ali Tayebniya added that the government has managed to achieve a tangible success in struggle against inflation, which has been going up in the past years, reported www.Iran.ru.
