In February 2014 crude oil production in Iraq reached 3.5 million barrels a day and oil export increased up to the record 2.8 million barrels a day, reported Reuters quoting the information provided to the journalists by Hussein al-Shakhristani, Iraq Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Diplomacy.
Oil export from Iraq increased against January 2014, when 2,228,000 barrels a day was exported, less than was in December 2013 – 2,341 barrels a day.
