Iranian Deputy Minister of Oil for International Affairs Ali Majedi said that the contracts for development of Iranian oil fields in the Caspian Sea will become more attractive for the foreign companies, because Iran is interested in their involvement in development of these fields.
Ali Majedi said that first of all Iran is going to use experience of foreign companies in development of oil fields located in the deep lying sections, because it does not have enough experience of work in such regions, unlike the works on the fields in the Persian Gulf.
Iranian Deputy Oil Minister also said that Iran is going to resume crude oil swap. He said the policy of the new Iranian government is aimed at expansion of such deliveries as much as possible and for this reason Iran has invited the interested companies to talks.
Ali Majedi added that it has does not have crude oil swap, as it does not have new contracts. It exchanges oil products at a limited scale. For several years Iran and Central Asian republics have been swapping crude oil and oil products, but in August 2012 they were suspended by the decree of the Minister of Oil that time. Three years later the new Iranian government takes efforts to conduct talks with the Caspian basin states to resume the swap deliveries, but as the deliveries were suddenly suspended by the previous government, these countries do not express a desire to establish cooperation yet, reported Iran.ir.
