In January and February 2014 oil refineries of Azerbaijan reduced production by 10.9% against the same period last year to 419.1 million AZN, a source from the State Statistical Committee told Caspian Barrel.
According to the same source, during the period production of automobile petrol dropped by 13.6% to 198,100 tons, virgin petrol by 47.8% to 15,100 tons, kerosene – by 2.1% to 115,800 tons, diesel fuel by 15.9% to 372,100 tons and oil bitumen by 12.4% to 42,300 tons.
In January and February 2014 production of lubricating oils increased by 28.8% to 7,600 tons.
Azerbaijan has two oil refineries – Azerneftyag and Baku oil refinery named after Heydar Aliyev, which during the past several years refined over 6 million tons of crude oil.
