During a very short period SOCAR-AQS has frilled a well No 351 from the platform No 13 on the shallow section of Guneshli field. The well has been drilled within only 29 days.
SOCAR-AQS reported that the target depth of the well totals 3100 meters, while actual depth – 3105 meters.
The drilling started on February 11, 2014 and ended on March 21, 2014, after which the production string was lowered into the well, the string was cemented, tested for containment and put into operation.
“The customer gave minimum 90 days to build the well on the shallow section of the Guneshli field. Despite that SOCAR-AQS has finished the work ahead of time by using new methods of management, technologies, standards and approach to the operations,” reported the company.
SOCAR-AQS was established in 2007 by State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and Absheron Drilling Company. The company specializes in providing services related to drilling of oil and gas wells, including planning and design.
SOCAR-AQS has been drilling from three drilling rigs located on two stationary platforms on the shallow section of the Guneshli field. SOCAR-AQS has been also drilling from the first drilling rig for Bahar Energy Operation Company. SOCAR-AQS also continues preparations for drilling on the Umid and Western Absheron fields.
