Iran to continue increasing gas production

Deputy Minister of Oil and Planning and Supervision of Hydrocarbon Resources Mansur Moazemi said at the international symposium “Iran 1404” (2025) that completion of all phases of development of Southern Pars field will be a focus of attention in the oil and gas industry.

Moazemi said that this year daily gas production has increased by 10-12 million cub.m, but next year the situation is expected to improve significantly. He said 12^th, 15^th, 16^th, 17^th and 18^th phases of the Southern Pars field development will start first and their operation will begin next year.

According to the optimistic forecasts, in the future gas production has to increase by 100-120 million cub.m. a day, while its consumption is expected to grow by in average 60 million cub.m. a day, reported www.Iran.ru.
