Make sure Contractor observe safety procedures and job site activity regulations and oblige them to eliminate any dangerous situation. Make safety walks minimum once a day to keep Safety Superintendent informed about unsafe work procedures
Review method of statement and risk analysis prepared by EPC Contractor
Monitor Contractor works are carried out on schedule, otherwise check deficiency and refer to Field Superintendent/Construction Manager, in order to promptly define and implement corrective actions that permit to comply with the schedule
Check the execution of the works, which must be in accordance with technical documentation, work progress, applicable codes and rules, authorizing consequently the activity of accounting for the installed quantities. Take action to correct any deficiency, if required
Verify that Contractor have checked if the material for prefabrication or erection necessary for the planned work is available and report to Field Superintendent/Construction Manager any deficiency. And check that the materials proposed by the EPC contractors are in accordance with Project specifications
Act as first contact point for Contractor for any clarification relevant to building works (including piping and HVAC relatives to the buildings) modification subject to approval
Check piping prefabrication, relatives to the buildings, for quality/quantity/safety reasons: be responsible for monitoring that civil, piping and HVAC construction activities relatives to the buildings are completed as per Project specifications, quality criteria, within the agreed time schedule
For this role, the supervisor will act as overall Engineer-in-Charge at site and will therefore co-ordinate with Contractor(s) and the Owner for effective enabling/interfacing functions
Assist during quality inspections as per Project quality procedure and verify that all QC activities (type & extension) are executed in due time according to relevant Site Work Instruction and applicable codes and specifications
Relatives to the building works (civil, piping, HVAC) review site mobilization plan of Contractor(s) and pursue for required mobilization for all manpower/resources/equipment, etc.
Fluent in English
Minimum 5 years experience in the position
Experience in PMC, in refinery and revamping projects
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Previous experience with Wood is required
