Work Location: Baku Office
Position Schedule: 1 year (renewable)
Education: Higher education in Engineering
Experience:
- Minimum 8-10 years of international experience in regional executive management, business development and commercial management within oil & gas offshore engineering and construction industry;
- 8-10 year of international experience in project management, company leadership within oil & gas offshore engineering and construction industry;
- Minimum 10-15 years of international work experience on medium-to-large scale and complex projects.
Skills and Competences:
- Knowledge of the business plan tool. Knowledge of its goals and its elements. Knowledge of modelling techniques;
- Knowledge of competitive positioning analysis goals and tools.
- Knowledge of how to integrate data sources and use techniques to develop competitive positioning analysis;
- Knowledge of market analysis goals, techniques and outputs;
- Capability to interface the Client, managing the contract and the development of the activities;
- Knowledge of Commercial rules and regulations in respect to procedural and authorisation steps to be taken in Company;
- Knowledge and experience of the critical issues related to Licensors management (performance,
guarantees, secrecy, Process book, engineering services)
- Knowledge of different cooperation typologies. Knowledge of legal principles, obligations, responsibility related to partnership agreements (Joint Ventures, Consortia, Heads of Agreement, Frame Agreement, Memorandum of Understanding, etc.) where Company or any of its affiliates is involved. Ability to execute activities related to reviewing legal principles, obligations, responsibility with regards to partnership agreements;
- Capability to conduct negotiations phase in line with the commercial strategy;
- Knowledge of all tendering process stages (e.g. preparation of tender documents, inviting and opening of tenders, pre-qualification, evaluation of bids, award of work, etc.) assuring compliance with company policy and procedures;
- Capability to understand and manage tendering strategically issues, implementing approaches/solutions in the proposal activities, identifying their impact in terms of cost, time and execution plan;
- Knowledge of the process of preparing, evaluating, negotiating and proposing contractual documentation concerning partners, suppliers and customers;
- Knowledge of principles and basics linked to the cost allocation, cash flow calculation and WIP monitoring for projects. Capability to analyse project financial needs both from a contractual point of view (i.e. bank guarantees, invoicing process) and internal requirements (hedging strategy);
- Capability to identify, evaluate, and estimate the level of risk involved in a situation, to compare it against benchmarks or standards and to determine an acceptable level. Capability to maintain a systematic liaison with the Corporate Function ensuring full compliance and application of Corporate Guidelines and Standards;
- Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills;
- Strong managerial and leadership skills.
Languages: Azerbaijani (fluent); English (fluent); Russian (fluent) preferrable
Responsibilities:
- In accordance with Company Policies, ensure an overall view of the actual and perspective commercial activities (partnership, business planning, strategic guidelines) for the Business Division and secure new commercial acquisition as per Strategic Plan;
- Screen the market within the related business area in order to identify projects that are of Company potential interest;
- Select, among the various projects identified, those projects, which for nature, size, location or complexity are suitable to Company policy and features and would allow Company to bid in a frame of competitiveness;
- Provide valuable inputs into proposal’s qualifications, win strategies, commercial discussions and design/engineering solutions;
- Contact client to gather further information on the project of interest and to formally express Company interest;
- Contribute to the definition of a partnering strategy (if a partner is needed);
- Ensure the definition of a pre-bid agreement (if any);
- Ensure the definition of the bidding strategy (in case, in cooperation with eventual Partners);
- In cooperation with Proposal Management, contribute to the definition of the Proposal Plan;
- Negotiate the contract up to award with the support of other Division Function;
- Manage the final bid price and proposal definition;
- Manage the post Bid Submission dealings, aimed at reaching the final agreement;
- Approve the Initial Project Cost Budget prepared by the Estimator / Drilling Proposal Engineer and verified by the Proposal Manager / Drilling Proposal Manager;
- After the project acquisition, coordinate of handover activities to the Operations and contribute to the formulation of control budget;
- Ensure internal and external reporting at any level.
