In the first half of 2023, 669 mcm of gas were transported via the Greece-Bulgaria interconnector (IGB), the ICGB company, the operator of the pipeline, reported.
“Only in the first 6 months of 2023, the volume of transportation amounted to 7.8 million MWh. This is equivalent to 669 mcm,” ICGB Executive Directors Teodora Georgieva and George Satlas said.
According to them, the number of users of the Greece-Bulgaria interconnector currently stands at 22 companies. The Greece-Bulgaria interconnector began commercial deliveries on October 1, 2022.
