SUMMARY: Maintenance and repair of Pressure control equipment including all associated handling and running tools.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Disassembly, assembly, and pressure testing of the Pressure control equipment
- Maintain the Diverter, and associated pressure control equipment according to OEM procedures.
- Perform the visual inspection for a Diverter Assembly and associated Pressure control equipment.
- Replace all rubber goods (seals, gaskets, o-rings, etc on Pressure control equipment and tools
- Competent to use the HMH system to find procedures and read drawings for the various equipment.
- Recertification inspection of Pressure control equipment in accordance with recommended procedures, methods & guides with the inspection methods of Visual Inspection, Dimensional inspection, Magnetic Particle Inspection (Fluorescent & White and Black), Dye Penetrant Inspection and UTI Thickness measurement.
- Ensure proper dimensional, NDE/MPI & LPI inspection report according to assembly procedure been created. Conduct full Drill Tool and Pipe Inspection as per DS-1 Cat 3-5 (Dimensional, MPI, PT, Visual Inspection, Hardness Testing and UTI Thickness).
- Locate, retrieve, create, and complete technical documentation within respective system.
- Use of company e-tools to retrieve technical documents and management of packing list, bill of materials, drawings, prior job reports etc.
- Ensure traceability of all parts recorded.
- Submit detailed, precise report to engineering team for review, feedback & disposition.
- Ensuring the item inspected meets HMH (PCS) criteria, any repairs required are identified and the equipment is safe to be returned to service.
- Ensure that project manager is informed of any issues relating to the Drilling and Well control equipment that might affect the safe and efficient running of operations.
- Assist project manager and supply information for maintenance and repair budget.
- Assist in communicating equipment problems or breakdown with Technical Support group.
- Incorporate the THINK process into all tasks, whether working alone or as part of a team
- Call a Time Out for Safety (TOFS) whenever and unplanned hazard or a change in the expected results is observed.
- Demonstrate commitment to company safety policies through the consistent application of leadership and guidance.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for environmental protection.
- Actively participate in daily/weekly safety meetings and pre-tour meetings as required.
- Report any incidents, potential hazards or abnormal situations to the Workshop manager and other department heads.
- Ensure that a high standard of hygiene and housekeeping is maintained whether in workshop or offshore.
- Meet the training requirements according to the applicable training matrix.
- Participated fully in the annual performance appraisal process.
- Maintain discipline and ensure compliance with Company disciplinary procedures.
PREREQUISITES/QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing in a technical environment.
- Able to read and understand technical machining drawings/assembly drawings.
- Able to read and understand hydraulic schematics
- Experience with High pressure testing
- Be competent with proper use of precision measuring equipment
- Work experience and demonstrated ability of oral and written communications may be substituted in lieu of formal education
- Experience using Microsoft Projects
- Knowledge of all technical calculations required for the pressure control equipment.
- Advanced computer skills
- Valid medical examination and vaccination certificates
- Some offshore work may be required
