The Kremlin called “fake hysteria” reports that Russia, in response to sanctions, could stop gas supplies to Europe.
“This is another brilliant example of such fake hysteria. Russia, in the most difficult moments of our relations with the West, was a reliable guarantor of Europe’s energy security,” said Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian President, answering a question related to the publication of the British newspaper The Times about that Russia could stop gas supplies to Europe if sanctions were imposed against it.
“Russia has never given anyone a reason to doubt its reliability,” Putin’s spokesman said.
