Over the past month, the illegal import of more than 55 thousand liters of diesel fuel from Azerbaijan to Georgia through the “Red Bridge” customs point has been prevented, the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia.
The undeclared fuel was reportedly found in artisanal tanks on trucks carrying international cargo from Azerbaijan to Georgia.
Such cases are considered a violation of the law and are subject to a fine. The Service said that strict control is carried out over the import of fuel to Georgia, hidden from customs control.
