SOCAR-STP LLC has been awarded API Specifications for three production lines -rotary-drill pipe components (7-1), drill string and pipe joints (5CT), wellhead and fountain fittings products (6A) under the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) Monogram Program, Report informs, citing the Company.
Thus, SOCAR-STP became the first local company to receive API production certificates.
So far, SOCAR-STP has achieved essential goals not only for the company itself but also for local production as a whole, completing the implementation of the Quality Management System by API and certification under the International Standard ISO 9001: 2015.
API Monogram Certification allows companies to demonstrate that their products meet global quality requirements and are usable in the worldwide oil and industrial market. The API Monogram license is issued to companies and organizations that apply the needs of the API Q1 standard and certify that the Monogram complies with the requirements of production and testing.
Founded by SOCAR (50%) and Sumgayit Technology Park (STP) (50%) in 2020, SOCAR-STP manages production, covering the region’s largest mechanical equipment workshop and heavy crane plant. The joint venture aims to further improve the material and technical base of the oil and gas sector, apply advanced technologies and develop existing opportunities for maintenance and exchange of specialists within the cooperation framework between SOCAR and STP, one of the largest industrial complexes in the country.
