Oil exports through the terminal of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) in April decreased by 6.1% compared to the same period last year, and compared to March of this year – by 3.1%, to 5.005 million tons, the message of the company.
“In April 2021, 5,005,250 tons (39,686,877 barrels) gross were shipped at the CPC marine terminal. In the specified month, 47 tankers were handled at the terminal, thus, in the first four months of this year, 190 vessels were dispatched in Yuzhnaya Ozereevka,” message.
In April 2020, 5.328 million tons of oil were shipped through the system, in March 2021 – 5.165 million tons.
Of the total volume of shipments, Kazakhstan delivered 4.327 million tons of oil in April, another 678 192 tons of oil came from the territory of Russia. The shipping schedule for April has been fully completed.
2.172 million tons of oil were shipped from the Tengiz field, 782,527 tons from the Karachaganak field, and 1.27 million tons from the Kashagan field. The system received 102,491 tons of oil from other Kazakhstani producers.
The CPC oil pipeline system is the largest oil transportation route from the Caspian region to world markets. The main pipeline with a length of 1.5 thousand kilometers connects the fields of Western Kazakhstan and the Caspian Sea with the Russian coast of the Black Sea. Among the largest shareholders of the company are Russia, Kazakhstan, and Chevron Caspian Pipeline Consortium.
