The price of gas for the population of Ukraine in September 2020 will increase by 31.06% compared to August 2020 – up to 4.7 hryvnia (0.17 USD) / m3.
This was reported by the press service of Naftogaz.
In August 2020, Naftogaz set a gas price for households at UAH 3.24 (about USD 0.12) / m3.
As a reminder, from January 2020, the Ukrainian government obliged Naftogaz to sell gas to the population and heat generating companies at a price, the calculation formula for which is tied to the cost of gas at the Dutch TTF hub.
The price list of Naftogaz is the basis for the formation of retail prices, which are the responsibility of regional sales companies.
On August 18, 2020, Naftogaz proposed to establish a new tariff, within which the gas price for the population is fixed for a year at the level of the month the tariff is connected.
According to the company, by fixing prices for the year, consumers will be able to avoid the risks associated with price increases in winter.
