For 1995-2019, the total volume of investments in the oil and gas sector of Azerbaijan exceeded $ 106 billion.
This statement was made on July 24 at the opening of the XIV Baku Summer Energy School at ADA University on the topic “Energy policy of Azerbaijan and the growing role of renewable energy sources” by Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov.
According to the Minister, during this period, foreign investments in the country’s economy exceeded $ 140 billion, while investments in the country’s oil and gas sector exceeded $ 85 billion.
That is, the share of the oil and gas sector in Azerbaijan’s foreign investments amounted to about 61%. At the same time, the share of foreign investments in total investments in the oil and gas sector of Azerbaijan reached 80.2%.
