BP-AzerbaijanCompany plans in 2019 to carry out maintenance work on two platforms in theAzeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) field block, Tamam Bayatly, the spokesperson forthe company, reported.
“Next year we plan to carry out preventive work on the Central Azeri and West Chirag platforms. During the prevention activities, production from these platforms will be stopped,” said T. Bayatly.
She stressed that the timing of preventive work will be further clarified.
According to the company, traditionally the period of maintenance work on platforms takes 15 days.* Shareholders of the ACG project are: British BP (project operator) – 30.37%, SOCAR (25%), American Chevron (9.57%), ExxonMobil (6.79%), Indian ONGC (2.31%), Japanese Inpex Corp. (9.31%) and Itochu Oil (3.65%), Norwegian Equinor (7.27%), and Turkish TPAO (5.73%).
