The presidential adviser on oil and gas issues in Turkmenistan reported on the construction of the gas pipeline Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI).
The construction of the Turkmen section of the energy main continues. Also, preparations are underway for the construction of the pipeline in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Relevant geological and technical surveys, ground and relief studies are being carried out, and the object’s environmental impact is being assessed. In addition, tenders for the supply of pipe products, the construction of roads in Afghanistan and Pakistan, and others are in the final stage.
Advisor to President Yagshygeldi Kakayev spoke about the results of an international tender announced by TAPI Pipeline Company Limited for the provision of consultancy services and the preparation of an insurance strategy for the TAPI gas pipeline construction project.The tender commission received the best technical and commercial proposals, in particular, from the company Willis Towers Watson (UK).
