Bloomberg has ranked the countries with the lowest prices for gasoline AI-95. Russia took the tenth line in the list. According to Bloomberg, in Russia one liter of gasoline can be bought for $0.72.
The first place is occupied by Venezuela, where a liter of gasoline costs $0.01, followed by Iran ($0.28) and Kuwait ($0.35).
The most expensive gasoline in the world is in Hong Kong ($2.09), Norway ($2.02) and the Netherlands ($1.93). The top ten also includes Greece ($1.91), Denmark ($1.90), Israel ($1.86), Portugal ($1.83), Finland ($ 1.79) and France ($1.78).
In Azerbaijan, gasoline AI-95 has been imported from April 2014. Currently, AI-95 is sold in all gas stations of the country at a price of $0.74 per liter, although the price of high-octane gasoline has not been regulated by the state in Azerbaijan since April 1, 2014. There are about 1,000 gas stations in the country and all of them are private. Even the gas stations under the brand SOCAR do not belong to the state completely; there is private capital there. That is, the solidarity of the entire gas stations of Azerbaijan in pursuing a uniform pricing policy for high-octane gasoline, which is not regulated by the state, can be called a cartel agreement in legal terms. The government has “closed its eyes” to this circumstance for more than four years and is not trying to transfer pricing in this segment to market terms.
