According to the Kazakhstan national operator in the field of gas and gas supply, last year the company significantly increased its production performance.
According to the audited financial statements provided by KazTransGas JSC, the consolidated income amounted to KZT 662.4 bn in 2017, which is KZT 77.5 bn more than in 2016. At the same time, the net profit of the group of companies JSC KazTransGas for the reported period amounted to KZT 74.8 billion, which is KZT 23 billion higher than the planned index.
The volume of gas transportation through main gas pipelines was increased by 12.7 bcm compared to 2016. In total, gas transportation over the past year amounted to 101 bcm. The export transportation of natural gas grew by 34% to 17.7 bcm. The internal gas transportation increased by 1 bcm and amounted to 17.4 bcm.
The international transit of gas became 7.5 bcm more than last year’s index and reached 65.8 bcm. According to KazTransGas JSC, the natural gas production grew from 327 mcm in 2016 to 344 mcm.
According to KazTransGas, the company continued its socially oriented policy last year. In 2017, subsidies for the supply of gas for the domestic market at a price below the cost of production amounted to KZT 57.6 billion, and it amounted to KZT 167.7 billion in 2015-2017.
