Turkey has introduced tax incentives for companies operating in the exclusive economic zone of the country in the Black Sea, as well as on platforms within the construction of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline.
“Taxation and customs privileges will affect vehicles, including ships, as well as the supply of pipes, other materials, equipment and spare parts,” the government said in its official publication Resmi Gazete on February 2.
Recall, on May 7, 2017, Gazprom began construction of the offshore section of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline. The company’s investments in the project amounted to 92.8 billion rubles last year. This year it is planned to increase them almost twice – to 182.4 billion rubles.
It is planned that the Turkish Stream gas pipeline will consist of two strings with a capacity of 15.75 bcm each and their entry will be completed in December 2019.
