The volume of oil refining at the refineries in Kazakhstan in 2018 is planned at the level of 15.8 million tons, the government said.
In 2017, Kazakhstani refineries processed 14.9 million tons of oil (an increase of 2.8% by 2016) with a plan of 14.5 million tons. Thus, this year the indicator may increase by 6%.
According to the materials, the plan for the production of petroleum bitumen for 2018 is 740 thousand tons. In 2017, 731 thousand tons of these products were produced (an increase of 46.7%). Export of bitumen to Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and China amounted to 97 thousand tons.
According to the materials, in the current year coal production in Kazakhstan is expected to reach 107 million tons. In 2017, 111.118 million tons of coal was mined.
In addition, it is reported that by the end of this year it is planned to bring the gasification level of the country to 47.65% against 47.38% in 2017.
