For January-September of this year, Azerbaijan exported 15,381,800 tons of crude oil.
According to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, during the reporting period the country’s revenues from oil exports amounted to $ 5 billion 883.5 million (a decrease of 20% compared to January-September 2016).
At the same time, the Customs Committee recorded a decrease in the volume of exported crude oil by 36.4% or by 8.8 million tons compared to the same period last year. Although according to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, for 9 months of 2017 the volume of commercial oil production in the country decreased by only 8% or 2 million 466.5 thousand tons, amounting to 28 million 755.4 million tons.
In January-September 2016, the State Customs Committee recorded export volumes at a level of more than 24 million tons, with a production of 31.2 million tons. And now the undeclared volumes of oil have sharply increased.
Exports of crude oil accounted for 72.24% of total exports for January-September.
