During 4 months, 2014 SOCAR delivered 6,781,159 tons of crude oil to the world markets via the Mediterranean port Ceyhan. Azerbaijani oil deliveries via Ceyhan increased by 5.6% against the same period last year.
SOCAR press office reported that in April 2014 SOCAR exported from Ceyhan 2,086,186 tons of oil.
During last year State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported 19.75 million tons of oil from Ceyhan port against 20.2 million tons in 2012.
Oil to the Ceyhan port is delivered via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline. The shareholders of BTC Co, which was established on August 1, 2002 to implement the project, include BP (30.1%), SOCAR (25%), Chevron (8.9%), Statoil (8.71%), ТРАО (6.53%), Eni (5%), Total (5%), Itochu (3.4%), Inpex (2.5%), ConocoPhillips (2.5%) and ONGC (2.36%).
