The Azerbaijani Minister of Energy Natig Aliyev will take part in an informal meeting of the OPEC member countries and countries that are not members of the organization within the framework of the 23rd World Energy Congress in Istanbul, the press service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy said.
The invitation to the Energy Minister to participate in the meeting was directed by the OPEC Secretary General Mohammed Barkindo.
“The meeting will take place in an informal format to consult on the freezing of oil production between the Energy Ministers of Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Gabon, United Arab Emirates, Venezuela and Russia, as well as Brazil, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Mexico and Oman. The meeting will take place on 12 October,” the Ministry said.
