Turkey expects results of the arbitration to reduce Iranian gas prices from September, reported Turkish Anadolu agency quoting Energy Minister Berat Albayrak.
In 2012 Turkey has filed a claim to the international arbitration against Iranian gas price during the period between 2011 and 2015. In February 2015 the arbitration made a decision in favor of Turkey and ordered the countries to find agreement on the price reduction between 13.3% and 15.8%. The agreement on the price reduction is planned to be reached in September 2016, writes the agency.
According to the BP statistical information, in 2015 gas consumption in Turkey totaled 43.6 bcm, of which 7.8 bcm was exported from Iran.
