A significant progress has been achieved at the talks om Turkmenistan gas export to Europe, Marosh Shefchovich, European Commission Vice President for Energy, said in his interview to Trend.
“We have been working jointly with Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia and Turkmenistan on the possibilities of Turkmenistan gas export to Europe and how the Southern Gas Corridor could be used for these deliveries,” Shefchovich said.
He reminded that last year the working group was created on the basis of the Declaration signed in Ashgabad, which was in charge of working on all possible options of Turkmen gas export to Europe and solving all legal and economic aspects of this issue.
“Two options of Turkmenistan gas export to Europe have been discussed at the session of the working group, which took place several days ago in Istanbul,” Shefchovich said.
