Privatization of Greek gas transportation operator DESFA, in which SOCAR has bought a share, will be completed in the first half of 2016, reported Greek media quoting Stergios Pitsiorlas, the Greek Fund for State Property Management (HRADF).
Greek Energy Minister Panos Skurletis said earlier that 17% shares of DESFA mist be sold to the European company to complete the deal of purchasing of 66% shares of the company by SOCAR. SOCAR has the right to select a new shareholder.
Italian Snam company and Flyxis-Enagas alliance have submitted an official proposal o HRADF to buy 17% shares in DESFA.
The Dutch Gasunie has also expressed unofficial interest in purchasing a share in DESFA.
SOCAR has won bids to buy 66% shares of DESFA for 400 million Euro in December 2013.
