Since 2011 BP with its partners developing Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) and Shah Deniz oil and gas fields has invested over $2 million into the School of Project Management (SPM), which has been created to train managers for the projects, Tamam Bayatly, BP press officer, said at the event devoted to awarding certificates to the SPM graduates.
She said that SPM was founded in 2011 and since that time by 325 managers and other specialists have graduated it.
“The goal of the school was to help to improve the project management level and teach the project management skills on a long-term basis. During four years 114 organizations from state and private sector have expressed interest in development of managerial skills of their employees,” Bayatly said.
