At yesterday’s elections Rovnag Abdullayev, President of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), was elected member of parliament from the Nizami district No 24, Baku, for the third time.
Mukhtar Babayev, General Director of Azerkhimiya company of SOCAR, was also elected deputy from the Sumgait district No 43. This is also his second re-election.
Azerbaijani Milli Mejlis (parliament) had 125 deputies. According to the preliminary data, 80% of the current composition of parliament has not been changed.
