From January to September 2015 Azerbaijan has extracted 31.41 million tons of oil (reduction by 2.3% against the same period last year), which up 3.2% against the forecast, reads the article by Azerbaijani Energy Minister Natig Aliyev published in Republic newspaper (organ of the Azerbaijani government).
He said for 3 quarters this year the forecast was 30.44 million tons of oil.
“From January to September SOCAR has overfulfilled the oil production forecast by 0.1% up to 6.21 million tons,” reads the article.
Oil production from the ACG bloc of fields totaled 23.53 million tons of oil, which is up 4% against the forecast. Condensate production from the gas field Shah Deniz exceeded 1.66 million tons, up 5.7% against the forecast.
“During three quarters this year Azerbaijan exported 26.47 million tons of oil, up 3.4% against the forecast. 1.3 million tons of exported oil falls to SOCAR. From January to September SOCAR refined 4.86 million tons of oil, up 1% against the forecast,” reads the article.
* According to the State Statistical Committee, in 2014 tank oil production in the republic totaled 41,952,000 tons against 43,163,000 tons in 2013. The peak of tank oil production was achieved in 2010 – 50,692,000 tons. Next year production is expected to drop in Azerbaijan by 700,000-750,000 tons against last year.
