In order to ensure required volume of natural gas for the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline, Turkmenistan has signed the framework agreement with the consortium of several leading Japanese companies to develop part of the gas field Galkynysh, Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper wrote on Saturday.
Recently specialists of the state concern Turkmengas have met with the representatives of the Japanese corporations Mitsubishi, Chiyoda, Spjits, Itochu and JGC.
The discussed the key factor of diversification of deliveries, in particular, expansion of gas extraction and processing on the super-giant field Galkynysh, which will be the main resource for the TAPI project.
