KazMunaiGas – Processing and Marketing JSC (a subsidiary of Kazakhstan’s national oil and gas company “KazMunaiGas”) handed over the administration of 143 gasoline stations operating under KazMunaiGas brand to the small and medium businesses as part of the transformation program, Samruk-Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund joint-stock company said.
“Some 143 of 324 KazMunaiGas gasoline stations were handed over to the private entrepreneurs’ administration,” the statement said. “The priority was given to the representatives of the small and medium businesses upon the principle of ‘no more than three gasoline stations to one entrepreneur’.
The gasoline stations will keep KazMunaiGas brand and oil product quality standards.
The main priorities of the program of the company’s transformation are: reducing costs, increasing sales at gas stations under the control of partners, increasing the transparency of the company. In the future, it is planned to introduce a franchise scheme, i.e. attract private gas stations to work under the KazMunaiGas brand.
Work on the transformation affected all aspects of activity of the KazMunaiGas – Processing and Marketing JSC. The plants, in addition to the modernization of equipment, launched a program of business process re-engineering. The essence of the program is to leave the main production and bring all other processes to a competitive environment.
In order to improve the efficiency and quality of petroleum products within the framework of the modernization of the refinery, modern technologies are introduced, manufacturing of new products begins.
Transformation Program of KazMunaiGas NC JSC is aimed at the transformation, improvement and introduction of advanced technologies and management technologies to improve the efficiency of the KazMunaiGas NC JSC group of companies.
