US President Barack Obama called prolongation of the US sanctions against Iran useless, wrote RIA Novosti quoting US President’s interview to CNN TV channel.
“We should face the truth that other countries, such as China and Russia, will not continue observing sanctions against Iran voluntarily,” he said.
Obama said earlier that weakening of the sanctions will lead to the fact that Iran will get a chance to commit “ill-intentioned actions,” but right now there is no better alternative, than the nuclear deal concluded with Tehran.
On July 14 at night Iran and “six” international mediators reached a historical agreement to settle the Iranian nuclear problem. The talks that lasted several months have ended into adoption of a joint plan of actions, implementation of which will absolutely lift economic and financial sanctions imposed by the UN SC, USA and European Union on Iran. The agreement will be considered in the US Congress.
