The session of the multilateral group on application of the Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative (EITI) in Azerbaijan took place yesterday in the headquarters of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ), SOFAZ press office told Turan.
EITI-Azerbaijan report for 2013 has been discussed and adopted at the session.
The session participants have also approved the program of training for the extracting companies and the training participants.
EITI-Azerbaijan report for 2013 is different from previous years, because it is based on the new international standards of transparency.
According to Turan, the new report contains full information (how much extracted, how much handed over to government, how much government received from each company) about each company (not to be confused with the consortium). The next report will contain information about social payments of the company within the framework of the projects.
