Last week price for Brent oil brand went up, reported Baker Hughes.
According to the company’s report, during a week number of drilling rigs in the US went down from 1140 to 83, which is the lowest index since December 2011.
At the auctions on February 6, 2015 price of Brent oil brand at the London ICE went up by 2.17% up to $57.80 per barrel. At the NYMEX March futures of WTI oil were closed with the price of $51.69 per barrel (+3.27%).
Number of drilling rigs keeps on going down for nine weeks in a row in the US. They number decreased by almost 30% since October.
The analysts expect that the situation will be the same in the coming future, because of many oil companies’ plans to reduce the costs. Only during last week number of drilling rigs in Texas, which has majority of the drilling rigs, went down by 41 to 651.
