During 2014 BP-Azerbaijan company extracted 2.3 million tons of condensate from the Shah Deniz gas condensate field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, reported the company, the operator of the international consortium developing the field.
In 2013 BP and its partners extracted 2.48 million tons of condensate from the Shah Deniz field.
Reduction of volume of condensate extraction last year is accounted for geological conditions of extraction, rather than reduction of condensate resources in the beds, the company reported.
Last year the volume of condensate extraction from Shah Deniz constituted 5.5% of the entire production of liquid hydrocarbons in Azerbaijan.
* Shah Deniz project partners include BP (operator with 28.8%), TPAO (19%), Petronas (15.5%), SOCAR (16.7%), LUKoil (10%) and NICO (10%).
