Iran to set up biggest solar power plant in Middle East

The Islamic Republic of Iran is to set up the biggest solar power plant of the Middle East in the city of Zahedan, member of photovoltaic scientific society of wind energy in Iran Gholamreza Sar-Golzari said on Saturday, IRNA reported.
The first-ever 20 megawatt wind power plant is to be constructed eight kilometers away from Zahedan city, he said.
Speaking to IRNA, he said the project will be implemented through support made by Bank of Industry and Mines.
The governor-general of Sistan Baluchestan province said that most sophisticated European technological know-how is to be used for construction of the power plant.
