SOCAR’s drilling company has started drilling of two new wells on Pirallakhi Island onshore field, reported SOCAR.
The well No 1176 is 930 meters deep and the well No 1174 – 720 meters. The wells will be drilled to the Podkirmakinskaya productive bed. According to the geologists’ estimates, the daily production rate of each well is expected to be 4 tons of oil.
Pirallakhi field’s development started in 1902. The residual resources of the field total about 2 million tons of oil.
