Till the end of 2014 Turkmenistan plans to build 149 big objects with a total value of over $9 billion, reads the article published in the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.
The article reads that during 6 months this year the volume of investments into various sectors of the economy increased by 8.3% against the same period last year.
“Turkmenistan has achieved an impressive success in realization of its socio-economic strategy. The volume of GDP per capita reached about $19,000,” reads the article.

According to the BP Statistical World Energy, in 2013 Turkmenistan extracted 11.4 million tons of oil and 62.3 billion cub.m. of gas and 5.1 million tons of oil and 40 billion cub.m. of gas has been exported.
The population of Turkmenistan totals 5.3 million people.
Since 2008 all statistical information in Turkmenistan is closed and the official data is usually indicated in percentage. However, the figure $19,000 was first announced by Turkmenistan President at the semi-annual session of the government in July 2014.
