During 8 months, 2014 oil refineries of Azerbaijan have manufactured products to the amount of 1,721,800,000 AZN, the volume of production reduced by 8.8% against the same period last year, reads the monthly report of the Azerbaijan State Statistical Committee.
According to the statistical data, during this period production of gasoline reduced by 13% to 806,900 tons, kerosene by 5% to 451,100 tons, diesel fuel – by 9.3% to 1,532,200 tons and oil bitumen – by 19.9% to 149,600 tons.
From January to August 2014 production of virgin petrol increased by 26.7% to 122,800 tons and lubricating oils by 13.8% up to 34,700 tons.
Azerbaijan has two oil refineries – Azerneftyag (manufactures oils and lubricants) and Heydar Aliyev oil refinery (specializes in fuel production) with a total capacity of refining of 7 million tons of oil a year. The both oil refineries belong to SOCAR.
