From January to August 2014 oil production in Azerbaijan totaled 28.6 million tons, reads the web site of the Azerbaijan State Statistical Committee.
From January to August 2013 oil production in Azerbaijan totaled 29.1 million tons. Therefore, from January to August 2014 oil production in the republic dropped by 1.7%.
During this period in 2014 tank gas production in Azerbaijan totaled 12.3 billion cub.m. Gas production increased by 5.1% against the same period last year.
In 2013 oil production totaled 43.5 million tons, while tank gas production -17.9 billion cub.m.
According to SOCAR’s forecasts, in 2014 total oil production in Azerbaijan is forecast to be 41.2 million tons, gas (including tank gas) – 28.8 billion cub.m.
