The compromise or temporary decision on gas must be made till October, 2014, Gunter Oettinger, European Union Energy Commissar, said after the informal meeting between the Energy Ministers of the Eastern Partnership member-states in Baku on Monday.
He added that the date of the talks between Russia, Ukraine and EU till be announced till the end of this week.
“We will appoint the date of the tripartite talks till the end of this week,” Oettinger said. He reminded that on Monday they will have a meeting with Ukrainian Energy Minister Yurii Prodan.
He said the talks may take place within two coming weeks. “We will work to find a compromise or temporary decision on gas till October 2014,” Oettinger added.
