In September 2014 State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) plans to complete 3D seismic survey on Gazanbulag-Ziyagkhanly section of the Ganja oil and gas region, reported SOCAR.
The same source said that the seismic survey is conducted to specify geological structure, define the area of hydrocarbons distribution and study oil and gas content of the zone.
“The data acquired during the studies will allow conducting drilling works in the proper direction,” SOCAR said.
85% of the planned works have been already completed on this area. As soon as the field works are over, the data will be sent for processing and interpretation.
